Overview and safety
What is BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets is a multi-asset forex/CFD broker founded in Auckland in 2014. Its New Zealand derivatives business is Black Bull Group Limited, which the New Zealand FMA independently lists as an ACTIVE Derivatives Issuer under FSP403326. BBG Limited is the separate Seychelles entity independently listed by the Seychelles FSA under the Black Bull Markets trade name and blackbull.com domain.
What are the Pros of BlackBull Markets?
Key strengths are the directly verified FMA derivatives-issuer licence, a separately verified Seychelles FSA entity/domain relationship, transparent ECN pricing, no minimum deposit on the main derivatives account set, no current inactivity fee, broad platform choice, algorithmic/copy trading and MAM/PAMM support.
What are the Cons of BlackBull Markets?
Main drawbacks are entity fragmentation between New Zealand and Seychelles, leverage up to 1:500, a general US$5 withdrawal fee, explicit EU-resident exclusion, and a second Standard/Raw/Pro table on the same current account-comparison page whose different minimums/pricing are not established as universally applicable. Live entity/country onboarding therefore controls.
What are the BlackBull Markets Current Promos?
BlackBull currently offers TradingView plan credits tied to monthly trading volume rather than a blanket cash deposit bonus: its current TradingView page advertises Essential at 1 lot/month, Plus at 5 lots/month and Premium at 10 lots/month. Prime+ separately provides monthly FX/metals commission rebates for qualifying high-volume clients. These promotions and rebates do not increase the ForexBrokersInfo rating.
What are the BlackBull Markets Highlights?
Current highlights include FMA FSP403326 ACTIVE derivatives-issuer status, Seychelles BBG Limited on the FSA register, ECN Standard/Prime/Prime+, spreads from 0.8/0.0/0.0 pips, Prime/Prime+ commission of US$3 per side per US$100,000, no main derivatives-account minimum, up to 1:500 leverage, MT4/MT5/TradingView/cTrader and 26,000+ instruments across associated entities/platforms.
What is the BlackBull Markets Origin Story?
BlackBull Markets was founded in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2014 by Michael Walker and Selwyn Loekman. The company was built around an ECN-style forex brokerage model intended to provide retail traders with institutional-style pricing and execution infrastructure. Black Bull Group Limited is the New Zealand company behind the brand and is now wholly owned by Black Bull Global Limited.
Since launch, BlackBull has expanded from forex into a broader multi-asset business covering CFDs and underlying investments. Its current material states that it serves traders from more than 180 countries and provides access to more than 26,000 tradable instruments. The company has also expanded its technology stack from MetaTrader to include TradingView, cTrader, BlackBull CopyTrader and BlackBull Invest, while retaining its head office in Auckland.
Is BlackBull Markets Legit and Trustworthy?
The genuine BlackBull Markets identity has verifiable regulation. The FMA independently lists Black Bull Group Limited / Blackbull Markets as an ACTIVE Derivatives Issuer under FSP403326, while the Seychelles FSA independently lists BBG Limited under the Black Bull Markets trade name with blackbull.com. Protection still depends on the exact contracting entity.
Is BlackBull Markets Regulated and who are the Regulators?
Yes. BlackBull Markets has two current investment-regulatory relationships that should not be confused with ordinary registration or AML-reporting status. Black Bull Group Limited, trading as Blackbull Markets, is listed by New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority (FMA) as an ACTIVE Derivatives Issuer under FSP403326; the FMA records the licence as granted on 12 August 2020. BBG Limited, trading as BlackBull Markets in Seychelles, is currently listed by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is authorised under investment-services licence SD045.
Black Bull Trade Limited is a separate New Zealand company disclosed as FSP1002113. Fresh FMA material also places Black Bull Trade Limited in the Black Bull Markets designated business-group / AML-reporting context together with Black Bull Group Limited. That does not make FSP1002113 a second derivatives-issuer licence, so ForexBrokersInfo records it as a non-licence regulatory/registration relationship rather than inflating the regulated-broker count.
The FMA also publishes impersonation warnings involving third-party websites falsely claiming association with the genuine Black Bull Group Limited / Blackbull Markets. Those warnings are retained as identity-protection context. They are not described as an adverse finding, scam determination or licence problem concerning the genuine FMA-licensed BlackBull Markets firm.
Protection is entity-specific. BlackBull discloses segregated handling of client money, but no statutory investor-compensation amount comparable with UK FSCS or Cyprus ICF was verified for either current investment relationship, and no universal negative-balance guarantee across both entities is inferred.
For Belgium, BlackBull's own current disclosure says the offer is not intended for residents of the European Union. Belgium is therefore unavailable for account opening. Separately, the Belgian FSMA prohibits consumer distribution via electronic platforms of leveraged OTC CFDs and rolling-spot forex. The Belgian Open Account CTA remains suppressed. BlackBull Invest may advertise shares, ETFs and options, but no Belgium-eligible onboarding route for those products was explicitly verified, so those product statuses remain unknown rather than being inferred from the catalogue.

Did BlackBull Markets win any Awards?
BlackBull currently highlights Best in Class for Offering of Investments in ForexBrokers.com’s 2025 Annual Awards. Awards are commercial/editorial distinctions rather than regulatory endorsements and do not increase the ForexBrokersInfo safety score.
What type of Forex Broker is BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets is a forex, CFD and multi-asset broker that describes its derivatives service as ECN/market execution. Its current materials advertise spreads from 0.0 pips, average execution below 100 milliseconds and Equinix infrastructure in London. The Prime account is marketed as a true ECN experience with straight-through processing and charges USD 3 per side per standard FX/metals lot.
The group also offers underlying investments through BlackBull Invest, so not every BlackBull product is an OTC CFD. A customer can use the derivatives service for forex, indices, commodities, crypto and share CFDs, or use BlackBull Invest for eligible underlying shares, ETFs, options, bonds and other investments.
How do I get in Contact with BlackBull Markets?
Current support is advertised 24/7 by live chat, phone, email and WhatsApp. The contact page lists support@blackbull.com, +64 9 558 5142 and the Auckland head office at Level 20, HSBC Tower, 188 Quay Street.
Where are the Headquarters from BlackBull Markets based?
BlackBull Markets’ head office is in Auckland, New Zealand. Black Bull Group Limited is at Level 20, HSBC Tower, 188 Quay Street, Auckland 1010; BBG Limited has a separate Seychelles address at JUC Building, Office F7B, Providence Zone 18, Mahe. The serving legal entity, not the marketing-office location, controls client protections.
What kind of Customer Support is offered by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull advertises 24/7 support by live chat, phone, email and WhatsApp. The Client Portal also links account/platform help, research and academy resources. No independently audited response-time SLA was verified in the current authoritative sources checked.
Which Educational and Learning Materials are offered by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Research and BlackBull Academy provide market research, analysis, courses, videos and trading resources. These are broker-produced educational materials, not independent investment advice or evidence of regulatory protection.
Does BlackBull Markets hedge Positions?
The current ECN/STP pages checked do not publish one universal hedging prohibition or permission across every BlackBull entity, platform and instrument. Hedging eligibility is therefore left contract- and platform-specific rather than inferred from MT4/MT5 availability.
Accounts and eligibility
Can anyone join BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets does not accept every country. Its current legal footer says client applications are not accepted from Canada or the United States, and the current offer is not intended for residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom or India, nor for people who are not resident in New Zealand under the New Zealand-facing service. That means an EU or Belgian visitor should not treat the general BlackBull forex/CFD pages as confirmation that an account can be opened.
Where an application is permitted, BlackBull requires identity and address verification before approval. The serving entity—New Zealand Black Bull Group Limited/Black Bull Trade Limited or Seychelles BBG Limited—determines the applicable regulatory protection, products and leverage.
Who should sign up with BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets is best suited to explicitly eligible clients—especially New Zealand residents using the FMA route—who value ECN/NDD execution, transparent pricing, MT4/MT5/TradingView/cTrader, automation, copy trading and MAM/PAMM.
Who should NOT sign up with BlackBull Markets?
It is a poor fit for Belgian/EU residents, clients in explicitly restricted countries, or users who require one legal entity and one statutory compensation regime worldwide. The current offer states it is not intended for EU residents.
Does BlackBull Markets offer Discounts, Coupons, or Promo Codes?
BlackBull Markets has a specific high-volume rebate programme called Prime+. It is invitation-only and calculates the rebate from the previous calendar month's forex and metals trading volume. The published Silver tier covers 200–500 lots per month and pays USD 1 per lot; Gold covers 500–1,000 lots and pays USD 1.50 per lot; Platinum starts at 1,000 lots and pays USD 2 per lot; and Diamond starts at 5,000 lots with a custom rebate agreed with the Prime+ team.
Qualified Prime+ traders also receive no withdrawal fee, priority support and access to selected VIP experiences. Registration is handled through the BlackBull Client Portal. Prime+ is therefore a concrete commission-rebate programme, not a discretionary “ask your account manager” discount with no published structure.
Which Account Types are offered by BlackBull Markets?
The main current derivatives comparison lists ECN Standard, ECN Prime and Prime+. Standard is from 0.8 pips with no commission; Prime and Prime+ are from 0.0 with US$3 per side per lot/US$100,000. All three show US$0 minimum, leverage up to 1:500, swap-free availability and London Equinix servers. A second Standard/Raw/Pro table on the same page has different conditions and is not assumed to apply universally.
How to Open a BlackBull Markets LIVE Account?
A BlackBull Markets live account is created through the Client Portal or Client Portal mobile app. The applicant enters personal details and email, chooses a Live account, creates a password and submits the application. Before activation, BlackBull requires verification documents; the current support page says approval can take up to 24 hours depending on the information supplied.
For identity, BlackBull accepts a passport or national identity card and requires clear current documents showing name, date of birth and expiry. Proof of address must show the client's name and residential address and be dated within the previous three months; examples include a utility bill, bank statement or government letter. New Zealand residents can also have access to Akahu Express Verification or selfie/liveness options.
How to Open a BlackBull Markets DEMO account?
BlackBull Markets offers demo accounts through the Client Portal for MetaTrader and cTrader environments. For MT5, the current process is to log in, open Accounts → Demo, choose “Create demo account,” select MetaTrader 5 and the desired account conditions, then set a password and submit. cTrader demo creation follows a similar flow and sends a login number plus password setup link by email.
Demo accounts are separate from live accounts and use simulated money. The Client Portal lets users manage live and demo accounts side by side, download the chosen platform and create additional accounts. BlackBull does not present demo results as evidence that a strategy will receive identical fills, liquidity or slippage in live trading.
If I violate the Trading Objectives of BlackBull Markets do I get a second chance?
BlackBull Markets is not a prop-firm challenge. There are no funded-challenge objectives whose breach automatically ends a challenge; normal limits come from margin, account, product and compliance rules.
How Are You Protected as a Client at BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull states that client money is held in segregated client accounts with ANZ Bank in New Zealand, separate from operating funds. No universal statutory investor-compensation amount and no group-wide contractual negative-balance guarantee were verified from the authoritative sources checked; the 70% margin-call/50% stop-out framework is not relabelled as guaranteed NBP.
What are BlackBull Markets AML ID requirements?
BlackBull Markets' AML/KYC process requires government-issued identity, proof of residence and bank-account information before a personal trading account is approved. Current verification pages accept passports and national identity cards; proof of address must show the client's name/current address and generally be dated within the last three months, with utility bills, bank statements and government letters among the accepted examples.
BlackBull's AML policy says it monitors suspicious and non-standard transactions, does not accept cash, does not accept third-party deposits and matches deposits to the customer's registered name. It can refuse a transaction where it believes there is a money-laundering or criminal-activity connection.
Deposits, withdrawals and fees
Which Deposit and Withdrawal options are available at BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets manages funding through My Wallet in the Client Portal. Deposits can use cards, bank transfers, Neteller and a range of local payment services depending on country; the current site also lists cryptocurrency funding. Most deposit methods are described as instant or near-instant, while bank transfers can take longer. BlackBull says it charges no broker fee for deposits.
Withdrawals are also submitted through My Wallet and are method-specific. Many listed methods have a USD 5 administration fee, cards can be instant on approval, bank transfer is normally 1–3 business days, crypto is normally 1–2 business days and some local rails have different currency/minimum rules. Compliance requirements can also determine whether a different withdrawal method may be used from the original deposit method.
Which Funding methods or Deposit Options are available at BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets supports a broad mix of deposit methods, including Visa, Mastercard, international/local bank transfer, Neteller and country-specific payment services such as Help2Pay, FXPay, PaymentAsia and other local rails. The current payment pages also show cryptocurrency funding options and multiple supported currencies. Most electronic deposits are processed quickly; bank transfers depend on banking settlement.
BlackBull does not charge a deposit fee on its standard payment schedule, although a payment provider or currency conversion can still create third-party cost. The AML policy says BlackBull does not accept cash or third-party deposits and matches each deposit to the name of the verified account holder.
What is the Minimum Deposit Amount at BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull currently says no minimum deposit is required for Standard, Prime or Prime+ derivatives accounts. BlackBull Invest requires $1,000 in base currency. Individual payment methods can still impose their own minimums, so a $0 account minimum does not mean every rail accepts a tiny transfer.
Which Withdrawal methods are available at BlackBull Markets?
Current BlackBull Markets withdrawal methods include Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay, bank transfer, SEPA, Skrill, Neteller, cryptocurrency and multiple local payment providers. The method table shows card withdrawals generally limited to the amount originally deposited, while bank transfer and crypto do not publish the same maximum. Skrill currently shows a USD 50 minimum and USD 50,000 maximum; crypto has a network-dependent minimum around USD 25.
Most listed withdrawal methods carry a flat USD 5 administration fee, while selected local bank-transfer routes can be free. Availability varies by country and currency, so the Client Portal's My Wallet screen is the actual method list for an individual account.
How can I Withdraw Money from BlackBull Markets Step by Step?
To withdraw from BlackBull Markets, log in to the Client Portal, open My Wallet and select the trading account/wallet from which funds should be taken. Choose “Withdraw Funds,” select an eligible payment method, enter the amount and proceed through the confirmation steps. The current support page describes the process as selecting the account, choosing the wallet/payment method and specifying the withdrawal amount.
Most approved electronic-method withdrawals are shown as instant on approval, crypto normally takes 1–2 business days and bank transfers about 1–3 business days. BlackBull can allow a different withdrawal method from the original deposit method if compliance requirements are met, but payment ownership and AML checks still apply.
Does BlackBull Markets Payout?
BlackBull Markets is not a fixed-return payout platform; clients withdraw available trading-account funds through My Wallet in the Client Portal. The current withdrawal table shows Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay as instant on approval, bank transfer as typically 1–3 business days and crypto as typically 1–2 business days. Skrill and Neteller are also shown as instant on approval after BlackBull approves the request.
BlackBull charges a flat USD 5 withdrawal fee on most listed methods, although some local bank-transfer routes are shown with zero fee. Individual methods can have minimums—for example USD 10 for many card/bank routes, USD 25 for crypto and USD 50 for Skrill/Neteller—even though the FAQ also says BlackBull itself does not impose a universal withdrawal-frequency restriction.
Which Fees are charged by BlackBull Markets?
ECN Standard starts from 0.8 pips with no commission. ECN Prime and Prime+ start from 0.0 and charge US$3 per side per US$100,000. There is no current inactivity fee and no broker deposit fee on the published funding table; standard withdrawals generally cost US$5. Swaps or swap-free administration charges can apply.
Trading conditions and platforms
What can I trade with BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull markets forex, indices, commodities, equities and cryptocurrency trading plus a separate BlackBull Invest securities route. The group advertises 26,000+ instruments across associated entities/platforms; product form and eligibility vary, so the total is not treated as 26,000 CFD symbols for every client.
Which Trading Platforms are offered by BlackBull Markets?
Current platforms are TradingView, MT4, MT5, cTrader, BlackBull CopyTrader and BlackBull Invest. cTrader is available on desktop, web and mobile and explicitly supports cTrader Automate and integrated cTrader Copy.
Which Trading Instruments are offered by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull advertises 26,000+ tradable instruments across associated entities/platforms, including 70+ forex pairs plus commodities, indices, equities and cryptocurrencies. The total combines different product/platform forms, so availability must be checked for the actual account/entity.
Which Trading Servers are offered by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets uses account-specific server credentials rather than one universal MetaTrader server for every customer. The current account comparison identifies London Equinix infrastructure for Standard, Prime and Prime+ accounts, while BlackBull's support centre has separate instructions for finding and switching the MT4/MT5 server assigned to an individual account.
The correct server therefore comes from the trading-account details in the Client Portal or the account-creation email. BlackBull's current main site describes its Equinix servers as located in London and designed for low-latency access, but that infrastructure location should not be confused with the exact server string a client enters in MetaTrader.
Which are the Base Currencies supported by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull Markets' current official partner reference lists eleven trading-account base currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, NZD, SGD, CAD, JPY, ZAR, CHF and THB. The Client Portal also allows clients to create currency wallets and includes a support function specifically for changing an account's base currency.
Payment-method currencies are broader and method-specific, so they should not be confused with the account ledger currency. For example, Neteller withdrawals support USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, EUR and GBP, while local methods can use THB, BRL, CNY or other currencies. The eleven-currency list is the explicit current account-base-currency list BlackBull provides in its own factual broker reference.
Can I trade Crypto with BlackBull Markets? Which crypto currencies are supported by BlackBull Markets?
BlackBull markets cryptocurrency trading on the derivatives/platform offering, including assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP on cTrader. Product form and jurisdiction vary; direct crypto custody is not inferred from a derivative/platform listing.
What is the Leverage on my BlackBull Markets Trading Account?
The main ECN Standard, Prime and Prime+ comparison publishes leverage up to 1:500. Instrument/entity rules can impose lower limits; for example crypto exposure can be lower. The advertised maximum is therefore not a universal entitlement.
How can I change the Leverage on my BlackBull Markets Trading Account?
Eligible clients can manage trading-account settings through the Client Portal, but leverage remains subject to entity, account and instrument limits. The published maximum of 1:500 is not guaranteed for every product/client.
What kind of Spreads are offered by BlackBull Markets?
Published minimum spreads are 0.8 pips on ECN Standard and 0.0 pips on Prime/Prime+. These are “from” values, not guaranteed live spreads, and can widen with liquidity/market conditions.
Does BlackBull Markets offer MAM Accounts or PAMM Accounts?
BlackBull Markets currently supports both MAM and PAMM managed-account services. The Client Portal has an Applications area for MAM/PAMM services and a “Lead & Follow” section where a Lead Trader or investor can manage or apply for MAM and PAMM arrangements. Trading Accounts also supports MAM account creation alongside live, demo, partner and investor accounts.
These services are separate from ordinary self-directed ECN Standard or Prime accounts. A money manager or follower has to apply through the relevant Client Portal workflow, and the legal permissions/eligibility for managed trading can depend on entity and residence.
Does BlackBull Markets allow Expert Advisors?
BlackBull Markets supports Expert Advisors and algorithmic trading on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Its current MT5 support guide explains how to install EX5/MQ5 files, enable “allow algo trading” and run an EA from the Navigator on a chart. BlackBull also promotes VPS hosting so an EA can continue operating even when the trader's own computer is switched off.
The main account pages identify MT4 and MT5 among the supported platforms and do not impose a separate minimum deposit simply for using MetaTrader automation. EAs remain subject to the normal account margin, execution and risk rules.
Does BlackBull Markets offer Copytrading?
Yes. BlackBull Markets operates its own BlackBull CopyTrader platform. Followers can select a provider/fund manager and automatically copy trades. BlackBull says CopyTrader is free to join and use and does not impose a broker minimum deposit specifically for copy trading, although the provider being followed can set a funding requirement.
A client can follow multiple providers at the same time if available funds and copy parameters allow it. The Client Portal contains CopyTrader ratings and enrolment functions for both strategy providers and followers. BlackBull also lists ZuluTrade and Myfxbook among additional trading tools, so its social/copy-trading offering is broader than a single MetaTrader signal feed.
