Forex VPS Guide

A VPS can keep MT4, MT5 or other automated software running when your own computer is switched off, but uptime alone does not make a strategy profitable.

When a VPS is useful

Consider a VPS for always-on Expert Advisors, copied strategies or alerting where local power, sleep settings and home internet interruptions would otherwise stop the platform.

What to compare

Latency to the broker server, uptime history, CPU/RAM limits, Windows compatibility, restart behaviour, backups, monitoring and support matter more than marketing labels such as “forex optimized”.

Operational risk

Test automatic restarts, platform auto-login, EA state recovery and what happens after an update. A VPS can fail silently if you do not monitor it.
