Forex broker regulators
We connect regulator names to the exact legal entities they supervise. This avoids the common mistake of treating a global broker brand as if every client receives the same regulatory protection.
How the regulator categories work
The directory is grouped by the strength of supervision relevant to retail forex/CFD clients. The strongest group is shown first. Regulators scoring 90–100 receive the additional Comprehensive oversight badge inside the Strong oversight group.
Strong oversight
Regulators with substantive retail financial supervision, meaningful licensing and conduct requirements, and comparatively strong investor safeguards. Authorities scoring 90+ are additionally marked Comprehensive oversight.
Moderate oversight
Genuine financial regulators and licensing regimes, but with materially lighter retail safeguards, enforcement depth or compensation arrangements than the strongest jurisdictions.
Limited oversight
Regulatory frameworks that can supervise or license financial firms but generally provide lighter protections for retail forex/CFD clients.
Minimal / registration-only FX oversight
Corporate, AML or private-registration relationships, or authorities that do not provide a substantive retail forex/CFD licensing and investor-protection framework.
