News Trading
Trade around scheduled or unexpected economic events that can rapidly reprice currencies.
Risk first. Forex, CFDs, copy trading, signals and automated strategies can all lose money. Performance claims and backtests do not guarantee future results. Verify the legal entity, product availability and rules that apply in your country before funding an account.

When the strategy tends to make sense
When the trader has a tested event framework and understands execution behaviour during volatility.
When it tends to fail
Blindly trading the headline while spreads expand, liquidity disappears or the market focuses on a different part of the release.
Testing checklist
- Know the release time and consensus before the event.
- Define whether you trade the initial move, retracement or post-event structure.
- Assume wider spread and slippage than normal.
- Reduce size if stop execution is uncertain.
- Review the event using actual fills, not chart prices alone.
Key risk
Stops can fill far from the requested price during sharp moves. News trading can be materially more expensive than the chart suggests.
