What traders should know

KNF Decision DAS.456.2.2019 is the current national product-intervention measure for retail CFDs in Poland.
For ordinary retail clients, the minimum initial margin is 3.33% on major FX pairs (about 1:30 leverage), 5% on non-major FX/major indices/gold, 10% on other commodities/indices, 20% on shares/other underlyings and 50% on crypto CFDs.
Retail CFD providers must apply margin close-out, negative-balance protection, a standardised risk warning and restrictions on monetary/non-monetary incentives.
Poland has an experienced retail client category. Qualifying clients resident in Poland can receive 1% initial-margin treatment (up to 1:100 leverage) on major FX pairs and selected non-major FX/major indices/gold; the remaining CFD classes keep the ordinary retail caps.
Broker availability and product availability are separate. Direct shares/ETFs, listed options/futures and OTC CFDs can be offered under different permissions and eligibility rules.
